Labanotation
This series of photographs, made for publication and exhibition, were made in collaboration with Alec Finlay (who initially conceptualised it) and the dancer Andy Howitt. Labanotation is a notation for dance, similar to written music, invented by Rudolf Laban, and in this case has been applied to the scripting of Archie Gemmill’s famous goal against Holland in Argentina, 1978.
