As I approached my 60th year, I made a series of head studies as a reflective meditation on ageing. Essentially autobiographical, I have selected friends and acquaintances whose age and cultural interests are similar to my own.

Realism is important here, and I chose to work with a large format 10x8 camera and analogue prints in order to authentically produce the highest possible detail with wide tonality.
